Common Questions about Skin & Facial Redness

  • Skin and facial redness refers to a variety of conditions that cause persistent redness or visible veins on the face and body. This can be due to factors like rosacea, broken capillaries, or general skin irritation.

  • Facial redness treatments often focus on reducing inflammation and strengthening the skin. Options may include laser therapies, such as the Alma Harmony XL Pro, which targets dilated blood vessels and can help reduce redness.

  •  Skin texture irregularities, pigmentation, and redness often result from sun exposure, ageing, environmental factors, and conditions like rosacea. These factors contribute to uneven tone and a loss of skin firmness.

  • Adults may consider treatment if they are experiencing visible veins or persistent redness that does not improve with skincare. Suitability is based on an individual skin assessment and treatment goals, rather than age alone.

  • Caroline Newman and her team have seen laser treatments and skin resurfacing evolve, providing a range of options to safely improve skin quality. Their approach involves careful assessment and treatment planning to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

  • The cost of treatment varies depending on the area being treated, the type of concern, and the number of sessions recommended. Your practitioner will provide a tailored estimate during your consultation, ensuring clear communication and transparency.

  • We use the Alma Harmony XL Pro with two different modes. The Alma Harmony ClearLift laser treatment utilises a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (1064nm) to address various skin concerns like fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin laxity, with minimal to no downtime. ClearLift works by creating controlled dermal wounds in the deeper layers of the skin top stimulate collagen production, improving skin tone and texture.
The Alma Harmony Dye-VL treatment is a non-invasive procedure that uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to address skin concerns like redness, rosacea, and pigmentation. It works by targeting specific pigments (melanin and haemoglobin) in the skin, breaking them down, and allowing the body to naturally eliminate them. This results in a more even skin tone and reduced appearance of vascular lesions and pigmentation.
Both treatments have no down time and minimal-to-no pain.
