Common Questions about hand rejuvenation

  • Hand rejuvenation is a treatment that aims to address visible signs of ageing on the hands, such as a loss of volume, uneven skin tone, and prominent veins. The goal is to support healthier and firmer-looking hands.

  •  Treatment for ageing hands may involve a variety of approaches, including laser therapies to address age spots, chemical peels to improve skin texture, and placable treatments to restore volume. The choice of technique depends on individual needs and desired outcomes.

  • The appearance of ageing hands is primarily caused by a natural loss of volume, collagen, and elastin over time. Long-term sun exposure is a significant environmental factor that can accelerate these changes, leading to pigmentation and visible veins.

  •  The need for hand rejuvenation varies among individuals, with some noticing signs of ageing as early as their late 20s to 40s. Suitability is based on an individual skin assessment and treatment goals, not age alone.

  • Caroline Newman and her team have seen skin treatments evolve and provide thoughtful, individualised care for a range of concerns, including those related to the hands. They focus on creating a comfortable and safe experience for all clients.

  • The cost of hand rejuvenation varies depending on the treatment type, the number of sessions, and the areas being addressed. A tailored estimate is provided during your consultation to help you make an informed decision.

  • We use the VI Peel. Which is a chemical peel designed to improve skin town, texture, and clarity by exfoliating the outer layers of skin. It includes a dual booster system that combats pigmentation with our hydroquinone and kojic acid lighten and brighten boosters, promoting rapid cell turnover. The process involves cleansing the skin, applying the peel solution, and then following specific post-peel instructions to maximise results and minimize potential complications.

  • We use the Alma Harmony XL Pro with two different modes. The Alma Harmony ClearLift laser treatment utilises a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser (1064nm) to address various skin concerns like fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, and skin laxity, with minimal to no downtime. ClearLift works by creating controlled dermal wounds in the deeper layers of the skin top stimulate collagen production, improving skin tone and texture.
The Alma Harmony Dye-VL treatment is a non-invasive procedure that uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to address skin concerns like redness, rosacea, and pigmentation. It works by targeting specific pigments (melanin and haemoglobin) in the skin, breaking them down, and allowing the body to naturally eliminate them. This results in a more even skin tone and reduced appearance of vascular lesions and pigmentation.
Both treatments have no down time and minimal-to-no pain.
